The Overland Track. Australia's most iconic multi-day hike, done the Solo Season way.

Five nights on trail, 65 kilometres (without the sneaky side-trips), and countless alpine views shared with a small crew of adventurous women and supportive female guides. Whether you're relatively new to overnight hiking and ready for your biggest adventure yet, or you've got experience under your belt and simply want the logistics and unpredictable Tasmanian alpine environment taken care of, you're in the right place.

Six days of alpine plateaus, ancient rainforest, glacial tarns, and mountains that will make you feel very small in the very best way. We kick the adventure off in Launceston the night before departure with a gear check and welcome dinner, then board the bus together at 7:30am the following morning bound for Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. From Ronny Creek we walk south through some of the most spectacular landscape in the country and finish with a ferry ride across Lake St Clair to be transported back to Launceston (please see trip notes for a deep dive into the day-by-day action).

Along the way there are optional summit missions (Barn Bluff, Mount Ossa, Mount Oakleigh) for those who want to push further, and plenty of moments to slow down, swim somewhere ridiculously special, and eat something delicious. With Solo Season it's less checkpoint-to-checkpoint and more spontaneous-swim-stop-at-every-tarn. You'll leave with more than incredible memories. You'll leave knowing you can do it again.

*Side trips are optional, weather and group dependent, and always a conversation, not a solo mission.
