Come explore the Walls of Jerusalem with us! We’ll show you the skills to find your confidence, and you’ll head home ready for every trail that calls your name.
Swap beaches for peaks and dive into Tasmania’s alpine playground! The Walls of Jerusalem is a wild, unforgettable mix of soaring cliffs, crystal-clear tarns, and ancient pencil pine forests, all spread across high-country trails that are challenging enough to feel adventurous but totally manageable for a steady, scenic pace. It’s dramatic, remote, and breathtakingly beautiful; a must-do for anyone chasing a genuine Tassie adventure.
Our journey kicks off with a climb up to Wild Dog campsite, perched on the plateau at the edge of Tasmania’s “Mountain Kingdom.” We’ll spend our first night breathing in crisp alpine air, with hints of the peaks still to come. The next day, we ease into a slower morning before setting off on a gentle stroll through ancient pine forests and past the dramatic dolerite cliffs of the Central Walls, making our way to our second night’s camp at Dixons Kingdom. Along the way, we’ll sneak in a side trip up Solomon’s Throne (arguably the quickest summit you’ll ever do) for expansive views over the Central Walls. Once we arrive at Dixons Kingdom, we’ll set up camp, enjoy some lunch, and then head up Mt Jerusalem for some truly speccy views. On our final morning, we’ll have an early (and chilly) start to pack up and warm up on our way back to Wild Dog Creek for breakfast. It’s all downhill back to the van where we'll make our way back to Hobart with full hearts, tired legs, and plenty of stories to tell.
